The SG is another popular guitar developed by Gibson. It was originally released in 1961 and it is still selling today. When it was released in the 60's it immeditaely became a hit and the new industry standard for solidbody electrics.
The SG has a mahogany body and a mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard. It has chrome hardware and a 490R Alnico magnet humbucker and a 498T Alnico magnet humbucker. It has two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three way pickup selector. The SG is available in black and cherry.
The SG is a fine quality guitar that has been around for a long time. I think is a very nice guitar and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheaper gibson guitar. This guitar is also smaller and lighter than most guitars so it may be better for a custom seekeing a guitar that is easier to carry and use.
